What "without a contract" means with us
The term is used in different ways. Some providers mean a monthly contract that renews automatically until you cancel. With us, it means four things:
- No minimum term. You book a period and have no obligations afterwards.
- No automatic renewal. Nothing is charged. A server is only extended if you do it yourself.
- No cancellation. There is nothing to cancel. If you want to stop, you simply don't extend any more.
- No reminders. Without invoices payable later, there are no payment reminders either.
This applies equally to every game and every plan. There is no surcharge for the missing commitment - it is simply the only model we offer.

Why the prices differ so much comes down to the memory a game needs, not the player count. We don't sell slots - you pay for resources.
How ordering works
- Create a customer account. Signing up is free and commits you to nothing.
- Top up credit. With PayPal, credit card, Google Pay or Apple Pay, it is credited within a few minutes, free of charge. A bank transfer takes three to four business days. All options are listed under payment methods; if you want to pay without a bank account, read Game servers with Paysafecard.
- Choose game and plan. The amount is deducted from your credit, not from an account or a card.
- Play. The server is ready in around 120 seconds.
When extending, you choose between 30, 90 and 360 days. A longer period isn't a commitment, just credit you use in advance. If you want to think about renewal less often, take 90 or 360 days; if you don't know yet whether the group will last, stick with 30.
What happens if you don't extend
This is exactly where the model differs from a subscription. When the booked period ends, the following happens:
- The server is paused. Nothing is charged and no invoice is issued.
- After a transition period it is deleted. Until then, you can extend and keep playing.
- Any remaining credit on your customer account stays yours and can be used for another service.
The flip side is part of it: an expired server doesn't stay around forever, and there are no automatic backups. If you are planning a break and want to continue with the same world later, download your save and configuration beforehand via the web file manager or SFTP. When you return, you order again and upload them - the address made of IP and port will then be different.
Who this pays off for
- Groups with an open end. Everyone joins at a game's release; after six weeks, half are still playing. Without a contract, nobody pays for the months after that.
- Seasonal players. A Rust server from wipe to wipe, a Valheim server for every big update, a TTT server for the winter months.
- Groups that chip in. A fixed amount of credit can be shared. A recurring charge on one person's account leads to discussions sooner or later.
- Parents. A fixed amount is topped up, and the server can't cost more than that. There is no charge that keeps running in the background.
- Tournaments and events. A server for one weekend, booked for 30 days, then forgotten.
The model fits less well if you know for sure that the server will run for a full year and another provider offers a discount for a long term. Then a contract can be cheaper on paper.
What is still part of the plan
Without a contract doesn't mean stripped down. Every plan includes the same features a contract customer would expect:
- Unlimited slots - billing is by resources, not per player.
- Web interface with console, config editor and task scheduler.
- Web file manager and SFTP for saves, mods and your own backups.
- DDoS protection up to 250 Gbit/s.
- Located in Frankfurt am Main and unmetered traffic within fair use.
- Plan changes yourself in the customer interface - world and configuration are kept.
Not sure how big the plan needs to be? Each game's cost page linked in the table above explains which plan fits which use case.
