We offer all services on a prepaid credit basis. That rules out payment reminders or dunning letters with us. Simply top up credit when you need it.
Which payment method suits you?
All routes lead to the same result - credit on your customer account, from which you book and extend your services. There are only two differences: how quickly the credit arrives and whether there are fees. The payment method you choose has no effect on the prices themselves and doesn't commit you to anything - you can decide again with every top-up and switch at any time.
- You want to get started right away. PayPal, credit card, Google Pay and Apple Pay add the credit automatically within a few minutes and are free of charge. That is the normal case when you want to set up or extend a server right now.
- You have no bank account and no credit card. Paysafecard solves exactly that - buy it, enter the 16-digit code, done. A 15 % fee applies: for a €10 top-up that is €1.50, for €50 accordingly €7.50. If you have the choice, one of the free options is cheaper. The process for game servers is shown on Rent a game server with Paysafecard.
- You top up larger amounts at once. A classic bank transfer is free of charge, but takes 3 to 4 business days until the credit is added. That is no problem for a planned top-up - but too slow for an extension on the last day.
Plan your credit instead of topping up in a rush
Prepaid means: there is no invoice to remind you. The service runs as long as there is credit and you extend it - and if not, it expires. That is why there are neither dunning letters nor notice periods with us, but it puts the scheduling in your hands.
In practice, it works well not to top up at the last minute but to leave a reserve when extending. If you choose the 90 or 360-day extension options instead of 30 days, you have to think about it less often anyway. And if you pay by bank transfer, plan for the 3 to 4 business days in advance.
When a service expires, it is first paused and only deleted after a transition period. For game servers, this means: world data and configuration are kept during this time but are not reachable. Still back up your saves yourself regularly - automatic backups are not part of the plans, and you can access your data at any time via SFTP or the file manager. How prepaid billing works without a minimum term is explained on Game servers without a contract.
Optional: automatic renewal
In principle, everything stays prepaid: no service renews itself without your action. If you still don't want to keep track of every expiry date, you can activate automatic renewal for individual services. It runs via PayPal - at the start of each period, the price for the selected period is paid via your PayPal account, and the service keeps running without interruption.
Automatic renewal is purely an option, not a contract with a commitment. You can end it at any time, in the customer interface or directly in your PayPal account. The period already paid for then continues until its end; after that, you extend from your credit yourself again - or let the service expire. This makes sense above all for services that should run permanently without interruption.
