A flat rate instead of a power meter

Most colocation providers meter your power draw at the outlet and bill it after the fact every month. The result is an amount that looks different each month and that you never know in advance. We take a different approach: we calculate power as a flat rate based on the TDP of your CPU. That means your monthly price is fixed in the quote - no metered billing, no back payments, no surprise after a month with heavy load.

The starter plan covers 100 watts TDP. That fits a typical 1U server with a CPU in the usual performance range. If your CPU is above that - say a dual-socket system or a machine with a GPU card - we place it in the matching tier and give you the fixed monthly price for it.

The base price also includes the space in the 19-inch rack, cooling in an enclosed cold aisle, 3 TB of traffic and a 1,000 Mbit/s uplink. The A/B power feed is standard with us and not an extra line item - your server is connected to two separate power circuits out of the box.

There is a one-time €49.99 setup fee; the monthly price applies to terms of 3 months or more. If you need more rack units, 10 Gbit/s or your own IPv4 subnet, we will quote the extra cost - just tell us in your request what your server is and what it needs to handle.

Rack space

You rent your colocation space by rack unit in a 19-inch rack. The starter plan covers 1U - exactly what a classic 1U server takes up. If you need more space, just tell us the height and mounting depth of your server.

A flat rate, not a meter reading

We calculate power as a flat rate based on the TDP of your CPU rather than on measured consumption. Your monthly price is fixed from day one - no fluctuating invoices and no back payments.

German IP addresses

The IPv4 addresses you get from us are German addresses and are listed as such in geolocation databases. For license checks, regional content or reaching your customers in Germany, your server behaves as if it were on a German network.

Inside the GDPR

The rack space is in the Netherlands and therefore fully within the scope of the GDPR. Your data never leaves the EU, and there is no need for standard contractual clauses or other arrangements for transfers to a third country.

DE-CIX and AMS-IX

The site is directly connected to both major exchanges - DE-CIX in Frankfurt and AMS-IX in Amsterdam. Traffic to Germany and to the Benelux countries takes the short route instead of being detoured through a single exchange.

From 1,000 Mbit/s

Connectivity starts at 1,000 Mbit/s - we deliberately no longer offer a 100 Mbit plan. If you need more, you can get up to 10,000 Mbit/s on the same rack space.

DDoS protection

If an attack hits, DDoS protection with a capacity of up to 3.2 Tbit/s is ready. It works on layers 3, 4 and 7 and detects the ports to protect automatically - there is nothing to request and nothing to configure.

Redundant power

The A/B power feed is standard with us, not a paid add-on: your server is connected to two separate feeds. In the unlikely event of an outage, a UPS system is on hand as well.

Cold aisle containment

Warm exhaust air and cool supply air are physically separated - the cold air arrives where it is needed instead of mixing in the room. That keeps your hardware reliably within its temperature range and needs far less energy for the same cooling capacity. An efficiency gain that makes operations measurably more sustainable.

When colocation makes sense

Server housing - colocation in industry terms - is not a substitute for rented hardware but the answer to a different starting point: you already own a server that does exactly what you need, and you are looking for a place with stable power, clean connectivity and controlled access. Running it in an office or basement rarely fails because of the hardware itself, but because of its surroundings: power outages, cooling in the summer, an internet line that was never meant for incoming connections, and a room anyone can walk into.

Housing is therefore typical for systems with special equipment - specific GPU cards, an unusually large amount of local storage or software tied to particular hardware. Likewise for machines that have already been bought and written off and should now only cause running costs. And finally wherever full control over the physical machine itself is part of the requirement.

When an alternative is a better fit

If you do not own hardware yet, a VPS is faster and cheaper in most cases: the server is ready without a purchase, shipping or installation appointment, and more performance is a plan change rather than an order from a hardware dealer. Colocation, on the other hand, ties up capital in equipment whose failure risk stays with you - it is best to clarify with us before installation how replacement parts will be sourced; one of our technicians then handles the installation.

Administration effort belongs in the calculation, too. With housing, the operating system, updates, hardening and backups remain entirely your responsibility. With a VPS, at least the hardware is off your plate, and ready-made images such as our n8n template also save you the initial setup. If you would rather hand over setup and day-to-day operations entirely, our Managed Hosting for business customers covers that (page in German).

From quote to production

Five steps, and your server is running in the rack.

  1. 1

    Send a request

Use the form to tell us the rack units, CPU and uplink you need. We will send you a quote with a fixed monthly price shortly.

  2. 2

    Server ID and IP

Once the contract is in place, you receive a server ID and the matching German IP address - everything you need to preconfigure the machine.

  3. 3

    Prepare the server

You finish configuring the server on your side and label it with the server ID. Please include the mounting rails for the rack.

  4. 4

    Ship it to us

The server is sent to us by mail. You do not need to include power or network cables - we provide them on site.

  5. 5

    Installed within 48 h

Within 48 hours of arrival, your server is in the rack and reachable via its IP.

On request, one of our on-site technicians handles later maintenance work on your server.

Request a quote

Fill in the fields below to receive a non-binding colocation quote. The more precisely you specify rack units, CPU and uplink, the more accurate the quote - we need the CPU because the flat power rate is based on its TDP.

1,000 Mbit/s is included in the plan, 10,000 Mbit/s at extra cost.
One IPv4 address is included in the plan, larger subnets at extra cost.

Alternatives to colocation

  • VPS - virtual servers without your own hardware, ready right away.
  • Data center - where our rented products run (VPS, game servers, web hosting).

Frequently asked questions

Server housing - also called colocation - means you place your own server hardware in a professional data center. You pay for power, cooling, redundant network connectivity, physical security and rack space; the hardware remains your property. It makes sense if you already own powerful hardware (for example special GPU servers), have higher compliance requirements (data protection, audit trail) or need full control over the hardware configuration. Our colocation space is in Eygelshoven, about 200 meters across the German border near Aachen - with direct connections to DE-CIX and AMS-IX and German IP addresses.

The starter plan is €49.99 per month plus a one-time €49.99 setup fee. The price applies to terms of 3 months or more. It includes one rack unit of space in a 19-inch rack, 100 watts TDP, 3 TB of traffic and a 1,000 Mbit/s uplink. We bill power as a flat rate based on the TDP of your CPU rather than a fluctuating meter reading - so your monthly amount is fixed from the start and there are no back payments at the end of the year. Additional rack units, a faster uplink or your own IPv4 subnet are listed in your individual quote.

After your request, you will receive a quote shortly. Once the housing contract is in place, you receive a server ID and the matching IP address to configure your server. After labeling and configuring it, you can send us the server by mail. It is installed in the data center within 48 hours of arrival.

Unlike VPS, web hosting or domains, housing is a contract with a fixed term. Depending on your billing interval, you will be asked to pay the invoices due (for example by bank transfer). We can of course also set up direct debit for more convenient payment.

The server and the matching mounting rails - we need them to mount it in the rack, and they are usually model-specific. You do not need to send power or network cables; we provide them.

On request, one of our on-site technicians handles hardware work - from swapping a drive to restarting the machine. Just contact support and describe what needs to be done.

Spider KVMs are available on site. They emulate a keyboard and monitor at the machine, so you can work on the server as if you were sitting in front of it.
