Set up txAdminActivate and use the official FXServer panel

txAdmin is the official web panel for FXServer and is already part of the server files. With us, you activate it yourself in the server settings. Afterwards, you manage restarts, players and resources in the browser - and with the deployer recipes, you set up a complete roleplay server in a few minutes.

What txAdmin is - and what it replaces

A FiveM server can be run in two ways. Classically, the server runs your server.cfg at startup, and you work with the configuration file and console. With txAdmin, a web panel takes charge instead: it starts the server, monitors it and runs the configuration itself.

Both at the same time is not possible - that is exactly why it is a switch and not an add-on. What txAdmin brings:

  • Scheduled restarts with in-game announcements, instead of losing players in the middle of the action.
  • Player management with kick, warning and ban - including a history for every player.
  • Admin accounts with graded rights, optionally with Discord login for your team.
  • Editor and resource overview with start and stop switches per resource.
  • Deployer recipes that set up a ready-made ESX or QBCore server automatically.

Activate it

In your server's settings in the panel, you find the switch for txAdmin. After flipping it and restarting, the server no longer starts straight into your game but into the panel.

It is reachable via the second port address of your server shown in the web interface - not via the game port your fellow players connect to. On first access, the server console shows a one-time code with which you identify yourself as the owner. Enter this code in the browser and then create your admin account.

If you cannot find the code: it appears in the server's live console right after startup. A restart generates a new one.

No server yet? txAdmin is included in every plan - which package suits a recipe server and which suits freeroam is explained in rent a FiveM server with txAdmin.

Take over an existing server

If your server is already running and you only want to switch the management, choose the option for an existing server in the setup wizard. txAdmin then asks for the path to your server data and for your server.cfg - both exist already.

Important: from this moment on, txAdmin runs the configuration. Your load order with the ensure lines stays valid unchanged; you just no longer necessarily edit it via our config editor but can also do so in the panel. Both ways write to the same file.

Set up a new server via a recipe

The more interesting way for beginners: instead of setting up an empty server, you choose a recipe in the wizard. txAdmin then downloads a complete template, sets up the resources and imports the matching database tables.

For this, you need your database login details, which you enter in the wizard - the import happens automatically. Where to find these details and how to manage the database yourself afterwards is explained in set up the database.

A recipe is a starting point, not a finished server: the basic structure is in place, but you still build jobs, vehicles and rules yourself. What such a setup looks like is shown in set up ESX and set up QBCore.

A recipe server with ESX or QBCore needs considerably more memory than a standalone server, and the demand keeps growing with every job and every vehicle pack. Which package suits your first RP server and when moving up is worth it is shown in how much does a FiveM server cost?.

Scheduling restarts - the real gain

The feature for which txAdmin pays off fastest is the restart schedule. You set fixed times, and txAdmin announces the restart several times in the game before carrying it out. For an RP server, that is a noticeable difference: players can finish their scene instead of being thrown out out of nowhere.

Independently of this, the task scheduler in our web interface remains available to you. Use one of the two, not both - two systems that want to restart the same server inevitably get in each other's way.

Switching it off again

txAdmin is not a one-way switch. If you flip it back, the server runs your server.cfg directly again at startup, and you work with the config editor and console as before. Your resources and your database remain completely unaffected.

What is lost is the data kept in the panel: admin accounts, ban history and schedules live in txAdmin. If you moderate regularly, you should therefore decide once and stick with it.

Frequently asked questions

No. txAdmin is part of the official FXServer files and is included in every FiveM plan with us - you activate it yourself in the server settings.

Via the second port address of your server shown in the web interface - not via the game port. On first access, you identify yourself with the code the server console shows after startup.

The file remains authoritative, but it is then run by txAdmin instead of directly by the server. You can still edit it via our config editor or in the panel - both write to the same file.

No. The resources folder and the database remain untouched. Only the way the server starts changes.

They keep running independently. Use either the task scheduler or the schedule in txAdmin - both at the same time lead to double restarts.
