Why Paysafecard is practical for domains

Most registrars want a direct debit or a credit card on file because they charge for the domain automatically every year. Anyone who has neither, or simply does not want to store payment data online, faces a closed door there.

With us, you do not pay for a domain directly; you top up a balance on your customer account. A Paysafecard is enough for that: you buy it at a point of sale, enter the 16-digit code and then pay for the domain from the balance. You do not need a bank account or card number anywhere. Step by step to your domain

1. Check your preferred name. Enter the name in the search field on the domains page. Availability is checked immediately.
2. Create a customer account. If the name is free, the system reserves the domain and takes you to the free registration.
3. Buy a Paysafecard - at a point of sale near you, for example at a petrol station, kiosk or supermarket.
4. Top up your balance. In the customer interface, start a top-up, choose Paysafecard and enter the 16-digit code. The credit is booked automatically within a few minutes.
5. Enter the owner details - that is you; the domain belongs to you.
6. Complete the order. The annual price is deducted from the balance; activation is automated and usually takes around 300 seconds.

Please note: Paysafecard is the only payment method with a fee. 15 % is added on top of the top-up amount - a top-up of €10 costs €11.50 from the card, and the full €10 lands on your balance. All other payment methods are free of charge; the conditions are listed under Payment methods. If balance is left over after the order, it stays on your customer account - for next year's renewal or for another service.

Extensions and annual prices

All nine extensions can be paid for with Paysafecard balance. The price applies per year and is also the price for every renewal.

Renewing with Paysafecard

A domain runs for one year. After that, you renew it yourself - again from the balance. For you, this means: there should be enough balance on the account in good time before the renewal date; if necessary, top up with a new Paysafecard.

So that the date is not forgotten, we remind you by email 30, 14, 7, 3 and one day beforehand. The first reminder comes a month in advance - enough time to get a card.

The optional automatic renewal runs exclusively via PayPal. With Paysafecard, you therefore always renew manually, with one click in the web interface. If you miss the date, the domain is released and can then be registered again by anyone - so take the reminder emails seriously.

What you can use the domain for

Your own domain is worthwhile even for small projects:
